The Tucson City Council has unanimously passed a resolution opposing the proposed Copper World mine in the Santa Rita Mountains.
Resolution 24114 cites concerns over environmental and cultural impacts tied to the project from Hudbay Minerals. The measure passed in a 7-0 vote during Tuesday’s meeting.
