Current Priorities:
1. Tell the Town of Sahuarita to immediately hold a public hearing to determine if Hudbay can prove it can recharge 105% of the groundwater it withdraws. If not, then the Sahuarita should not allow Hudbay to install the water pipeline along the Santa Rita Road.
2. File a comment with the Arizona Power Plant and Line Siting Committee demanding that TEP amend its power line application.
3. Request the Town of Sahuarita to pass a resolution and send a letter to the Arizona Corporation Commission opposing approval of TEP’s CEC application until TEP fully discloses its relationship with Hudbay and supplying power to Copper World.
4. Tell the Town of Sahuarita and Pima County’s five Supervisors to oppose letting Hudbay run more than 100 heavy trucks a day across the Santa Rita Experimental Range and through downtown Sahuarita on the way to Interstate 19.
