Copper World: Water Town Hall Meeting
1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7
Sahuarita USD Auditorium
350 W Sahuarita Rd, Sahuarita, AZ 85629
Toronto-based Hudbay Minerals’ proposed Copper World mining project poses an incredible threat to Southern Arizona’s water supply. Learn from SSSR Executive Director John Dougherty alongside local hydrologist Laurel Lacher about how Copper World would deplete the aquifer in the Santa Cruz river valley, pollute the watershed east of the mountains, and permanently alter groundwater flows near Cienega Creek.
Please join us at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Sahuarita USD Auditorium for a vigorous discussion about the future of Sahuarita, Green Valley, and the Santa Rita Mountains.
