On Tuesday, October 21, the Pima County Board of Supervisors will vote on a resolution reaffirming the county’s opposition to the proposed Copper World mining complex.
Pima County has previously passed several resolutions opposing open-pit mining in the Santa Ritas, first in 2007 and again in 2019 when the Rosemont Mine was being proposed. When the project was changed to Copper World, Pima County passed a third resolution in 2022 in opposition to the mining complex.
We encourage you to speak at the call to the public during the Tuesday, Oct. 21, Board of Supervisors meeting at 9 AM! Members of the public who wish to speak are encouraged to arrive earlier. The meeting will be held at:
Pima County Administration Building 130 W. Congress St. 1st Floor, Board of Supervisors Hearing Room Tucson, AZ 85701
